Olivier Beune

My aim is to provide logical and consistent solutions to the human needs, economic and strategic, required of my design.

To achieve this I apply a rigorous methodology, derived from careful listening to the client, to understand their concerns and ultimate objective. Respecting the usage of a product remains my prime directive but, by analysing this basic necessity I can then elaborate on my initial proposal.

Common sense and pragmatism are my guides in achieving my aims of accuracy and simplicity, followed by enthusiasm for designing a product because every project is a challenge and an opportunity.

O. Beune brings simplicity and innovation to all his projects. We are delighted with his ability to transform a concept into a product encapsulating our identity and mantra, "1 Idea/ 1 Design"; as amply demonstrated in the PK K'lip inspired by the climbers' carabineer and the PK K'1 and PK K'2 both inspired by the power Magsafe of the Mac.

Les créations d'Olivier Beune

I started my career in industrial design at the PLAN CREATIF Agency. In 2000, I became Creative Director of Design for Alcatel Mobile Phones.

Since 2008, I have been an independent designer with BOD Studio, and the director of the design department of the famous Parisian design school, the Strate Collège Designers.

For 20 years, I've been designing objects which, have been rewarded with several design awards.
